Televisa’s Maria Cristina Nicolás reports that in Spain, “more than half of all female entrepreneurs are female”.
The number of female entrepreneurs has doubled in the last five years and the number of women in leadership roles has also doubled in Spain.
Cristina’s report also noted that in 2016, “women’s participation in business is increasing, with more than half (55%) of female executives and entrepreneurs being women, and that women are leading and leading by example, leading by sharing their ideas”.
According to Cristina, this increase is due to the rise of online communities, the introduction of social networks like Facebook, and the introduction and adoption of products that empower women in business.
